In 2018, for example, Moore won a $45.2 million verdict from a Manhattan Supreme Court jury on behalf of a 53-year-old woman who suffered brain damage when struck by a shopping cart that was intentionally thrown off a fourth-floor walkway at the East River Plaza. Following a month-long trial, the jury needed only three and a half hours to decide in favor of Moore’s client, awarding her one of the largest personal-injury verdicts in New York state for 2018.
“By thoroughly investigating the facts of the case, we were able to show the jury that the mall was also at fault for this catastrophic accident,” notes Moore, who a year prior, in 2017, secured a $39.5 million jury verdict for a former NYU student who fell from an unguarded fire escape. “We champion our clients’ causes, and that’s evident in the results we achieve for them.”
Livingston, too, has obtained lifechanging results for her clients. In 2018, she won a $31 million wrongful-death verdict for the family of a 70-year-old woman who died as a result of an incorrect heart procedure. And later that year, she secured a $13-million verdict from a Manhattan Supreme Court jury on behalf of the family of a 43-year-old New Jersey woman who died as a result of a surgical error.
